The GX Screw allows the use of the product strengths of a thread
forming screw in thin metal applications. This unique thread style
extrudes thin sheet metal upward and downward as it is installed.
This moved material provides greater thread engagement on the
conventional machine screw threads of the fastener than spaced
thread tapping screws. The end result is that the GX screw holds
better and absorbs higher tightening torques without stripping
than spaced thread tapping screws.
